Introduction

Under, WP2, Task 2.3 “A beacon for gender and race equality”, the project EUt+ will deliver three intersectionality workshops held across all EUt+ institutions. The overall objective of this learning programme is to build capacity among staff engaged in the design, implementation and evaluation of intersectional equity plans (IEPs) by supporting the development of the skills required in the adoption of an intersectional approach that takes into consideration the intersections between gender and race with dis/ability, sexuality, age and socio-economic status. This intersectionality training programme will encourage participation so that knowledge, experience, skills and attitudes are created for, by, and with the participants. All three workshops sessions seek to promote a circulation and sharing of knowledge rather than just a top-down process of knowledge transfer, in a non-hierarchical mode which empowers participants to apply their new and pre-existing knowledge and skills.
