As the only TeachFirst accredited SCITT programme in the region, the Riverview Institute for Teacher Education (R.I.T.E.) offers the highest-quality teacher training, mentoring from skilled and experienced leaders and vast opportunities for professional development for each and every trainee.

Every single mentor, seminar lead, subject and pedagogy specialists are current, excellent classroom practitioners so they are able to offer you the best, most up to date teaching strategies and realistic advice.

The course allows a steady introduction into teaching which progressively increases in teaching load throughout the year- all while being supernumerary and having the support of your host teachers in the classroom with you.

We are able to offer placements in North Lincolnshire, North East Lincolnshire and the East Riding of Yorkshire.

We offer pathways into teaching at Primary and Secondary level. This Open Day experience is specifically for the Primary phase. We ask all attendees to complete a short expression of interest form here when booking a place for the event.
