Road Safety Audit Process Workshop
7th October 2016
Forth Crossing Contact and Education Centre, Queensferry, Edinburgh
The Society of Road Safety Auditors supported by Transport Scotland and BEAR Scotland presents a one day Road Safety Audit Workshop aimed at Designers, Project Sponsors and Clients of Highways and Traffic Schemes.
Road Safety Audit is an important part of the design process of new highway and traffic schemes. However its relevance in regard to improving safety and the consequences of following, or not following the process, is frequently misunderstood.
This one day workshop is aimed at Designers, Project Sponsors and Clients to provide them with a better understanding of what a Road Safety Audit is and how it is undertaken. It will explore how problems are identified, how to respond to recommendations made, and will look at the role of the Designer, Project Sponsor and Client in the event of legal proceedings. The workshop will be based on a real life case study.
The attendees will qualify for a full day of CPD accredited by the CIHT.
