Join artist and spatial designer Sahra Hersi on a guided walk that reimagines the relationship between urban infrastructure and natural landscapes. Starting near the A13, we'll explore how the River Beam serves as a connective thread, linking the highway to Beam Parklands, Mardyke Open Space, and Ingrebourne Hill. This journey will delve into the interplay between riverways and highways, examining how they shape and are shaped by the surrounding environment.​

Route Overview:

  • Begin at Millhouse Social Club, adjacent to the A13
  • Follow the River Beam through Beam Parklands
  • Continue through Mardyke Open Space
  • Conclude at Ingrebourne Hill, with optional extension to Harrow Lodge Park​

Accessibility:
Please note that this route includes uneven terrain and unpaved paths, which may not be suitable for individuals with mobility impairments or those requiring wheelchair access.​ Bus stop MB is closest to the start of our route, served by the 174 and 287 bus routes. There will be snacks provided. Ingrebourne Hill is served by the 103 bus route.
