What is Roadmapping?

Roadmapping (n): a collaborative strategic planning process to determine future vision and define concrete goals.

Roadmapping is used widely in industry to support strategy and planning. Developed by Motorola more than 25 years ago, the method has since been adapted and applied in a wide variety of industries.

Participants will be given an overview of the key concepts and walked through ‘hands on’ practical activities to experience how to develop actual roadmaps.

Roadmapping will help you:

• See the bigger picture (and where you fit in it)

• Ask challenging questions

• Provide focus and direction to long term planning

• Make new contacts and foster collaboration

Speaker Bio

The Roadmapping Masterclass will be led by Dr David Beeton, who has over 14 years of experience of developing roadmaps for blue chip corporates, innovative SMEs and governments around the world. David was also awarded a PhD from the University of Cambridge for his work to develop new roadmapping tools and techniques.
