Rob Townsend
A first appearance at the Chandos for saxophonist Rob Townsend who’s performed with many notable jazz artists such as Eddie Henderson, Sam Rivers, Django Bates, Mark Lockheart, Iain Ballamy and Tim Garland. He plays regularly with organist James Taylor and Arnie Somogyi’s award winning band Ambulance. On the rock scene he’s appeared with Rick Wakeman, Bill Bruford and played with Robbie Williams at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee concert. He’s a member of legendary Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett’s band, touring the world’s most iconic major venues. Rob appears on more than 10 CDs and DVDs with Steve Hackett.
As a composer, he has scored 8 computer games for companies such as Sony, Disney, and Supermassive Games. Rob has written music for BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Five and Discovery. In 2011 he wrote the music for Mechanical Musical Marvel which was nominated for BAFTA in the best Childrens’ animation category.

FAQs  What are my transport/parking options getting to the event? There is on-street parking in the roads round the pub. Colindale underground station (Northern Line) is a short walk away. 
Can I pay on the night? Yes, for those who haven't pre-booked there is a collection at the interval (although you won't be entitled to the discount on meals). We do expect you to contribute the normal admission fee unless you qualify for a concessionary rate…
Are there any concessions? Students and unwaged can turn up on the night and pay whatever you like (or even nothing). We want you to be able to enjoy the music, and maybe you'll come back and pay the full admission in better times…

Sorry to say we are not taking any more reservations in advance. If you want to take a chance you can just turn up on the night. By all means email us at info@safarimusic.co.uk and we will give you an idea of how full we are.
