Rock Against Hate

Pete Shelley, the singer/songwriter and guitarist for the punk rock group Buzzcocks died in December 2018.He was an inspiration to many people around the world.Help us erect a memorial to him in his hometown of Leigh in Lancashire.This Facebook group is the place to become involved in the campaign to create a Pete Shelley Memorial in Pete’s hometown of Leigh, Lancashire. We believe a statue or memorial of Pete will allow Pete's legacy to continue to be inspirational for future generations to come, it is hoped this will be achieved through various fund-raising events and collaborations.The memorial will be for fans, friends and family of Pete Shelley.
