Playful inversions into traditional Yin

Join Andy Young for a balanced workshop that moves from playful, accessible inversion work into the deep stillness of traditional Yin yoga.
We’ll begin with a light, Rocket-inspired practice to warm the body, build circulation, and gently stimulate the nervous system. This may include playful inversion exploration, with options to use the wall or stay grounded throughout. From there, the session softens into Yin, offering space to slow right down and let the body fully absorb the effects of the earlier movement.
Yin yoga works with the deeper connective tissues and fascia, using longer-held, supported shapes to encourage hydration, joint health, and nervous system regulation. After more dynamic practice, Yin provides a powerful rebound, allowing the body to integrate, settle, and restore.
Andy will guide the practice, with Brian James assisting, offering hands-on adjustments (with consent), options, and variations to support individual bodies and needs within the group.
We’ll open with cacao to arrive and ground together, and close with a long, restorative Yin sequence using bolsters, blankets, and props.
No previous Rocket or Yin experience is needed.
All levels welcome.
