Rodina is the long-standing musical evolution of Irish born singer-songwriter Aoife Hearty and her partner, and keyboardist and co-writer Joe Tatton (The New Mastersounds). After a six-year hiatus, Rodinar returned to the forefront of the UK jazz-funk scene with their most ambitious project to date: the album, Good Company. And they are returning to Leeds with the same great line-up and vinyl copies of the new record. Seamleslly weaving together acid jazz, cosmic jazz-funk, and a touch of hippy Americana, all anchored by Aoife’s effortlessly soulful vocals and Joe’s vintage Hammond organ and Fender Rhodes textures. Add in Luke Flowers on drums (Cinematic Orchestra, Chip Wickham) and Lucas De Mulder a long-time contributor Madrid on guitar & topped off by Nick Etwell, trumpet ace from London’s "The Filthy Six” Rodina are currently recording a new album which will be released in Autumn 2026, the new single “Nostalgia” recently got played favourably on Jazz FM.
