SPACE is a Hertfordshire based charity (no.1172178) supporting families with neurodiverse children and young people; those who are Autistic and/or have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or related conditions.We support our families in many different ways:We offer numerous monthly support groups running in various locations in Hertfordshire, creating a friendly and informal way of meeting other parent/carers in a relaxed, safe environment . These groups are also attended and supported by many professionals giving families an opportunity to find out about SEND services and how to access them.SPACE deliver Licensed and Accredited training courses including ADHD, Autism, Sleep, Navigating the SEND World, ECHP's, Sensory, The Teen Brain and Tourettes etc.We deliver several workshops and conferences throughout the year.We run bespoke social events for parent/carers, children/young people with special eduactional needs and/or disabilities, siblings and families. We know how difficult it can be to access activities and events and the impact this can have on the family unit.We also offer support via social media and email.

SPACE HERTFORDSHIRE

Gentle introduction to roller skating that focuses on early skating skills and confidence on skates.

Elm Court Youth & Community Centre

Join us for a relaxed hour to try out roller skating. These sessions are fully lit with no flashing lights and no loud music, making a sensory friendly space to roll. Coaches Abbie and Sarah who will help get skaters rolling and are available to teach further skills if anyone would like to learn more. This session focuses on enjoying skating in a pressure free environment. The venue is a community hall meaning there are no handrails so if your child has never skated before it's a good idea to expect to be involved in their learning by holding them up while they get the hang of it.Skate hire is available and helmets, wrist, knee and elbow pads are available for everyone to borrow for the session. Socks must be worn with hire skates.If you’re bringing your own skates you can use quads or inlines. Quad skates must have toe stops or jam plugs. Ages 6+.Children and young people remain the responsibility of their parent/carers.
