Romeo & Juliet
Wed 22 March 2017, 19:00 – 21:30 GMT
The choice of a play centered on romance between a boy and a girl also seems a strange choice for an all-girls school, particularly with 17 male roles!
But, on a deeper level, Romeo and Juliet is also a story of youth and innocence torn apart by age old grievance, a human story as relevant today as it was in Elizabethan Britain.
This tragic story embodies all the emotions, love, hope, determination, prejudice, blind anger and grief. Our production uses an abridged version of the text and adds a physical dimension to portray the machinery of tragedy. It is suitable for all ages.
Doors open 6.30pm.
