Where is the event held?

We have an outdoor range situated in delightful countryside, at Kitts Merries Farm, off the A27 near Shootash. Instructions on how to find us will be sent to you once you've registered for the course.

Is there an age limit for attendees?

Attendees must be at least 8 years old. However you are advised to contact the organiser, before booking, if a proposed attendee is 10 years old or less.

Do juniors (less than 18 years old) have to be accompanied

Yes, juniors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout each session

Do I need to bring anything with me?

We suggest you bring a drink with you, and come dressed appropriately for the weather (archery is an all weather sport!) We will provide all the equipment necessary for the course.

Do I need to have any archery experience before attending?

No. The course is intended to bring participants with no experience of archery up to a level where they can shoot independently, without supervision.

Overview

An Archery GB approved course for new archers, led by Archery GB licensed coaches.

This is the registration for the January 2026 Romsey Archery Beginner's Course.

The event will take place in January on Saturday the 10th, 17th, and 24th at our range at Kitts Merries Farm, Frenches Lane, East Wellow, Romsey

There are 3 sessions to complete this course at a cost of £50 for the whole course (plus online booking fee). Each session will start at 10:30 and will last for about two and a half hours. All necessary archery equipment for the course will be provided.

The aim of the course, over the 3 sessions, is to coach new archers with little or no experience of target archery to a level where they can shoot independently and in safety. The course is supervised by Archery GB licenced coaches and is based on the Archery GB syllabus for beginner courses.

Please ensure you can attend all sessions before booking. No refunds will be provided for sessions not attended, once paid for. Bookings fees are also non-refundable.

Registrations for the January course are limited to a maximum of 9 course participants. Please make sure there are sufficient tickets available for your needs before making any booking. Also note that the course is on successive Saturdays.
