Girls Night In: A celebration of female writers with Sheila O’Flanagan, Chrissie Manby and Beth O’Leary
Join us for drinks and literary adventures on our stunning riverside rooftop, for London’s only Rooftop Book Club in the company of three very special authors. Presenting some of 2019’s most talked-about and highly anticipated hot books, this is a night of inspirational, empowering and heart-warming reads brought to you in partnership with Bookends reading community, Prima Magazine and Sanctuary Spa.
Sheila O’Flanagan is the award-winning author of over twenty novels, including The Hideaway, What Happened That Night, The Missing Wife, My Mother’s Secret, All For You and Bad Behaviour. Her new novel, Her Husband’s Mistake, follows Roxy, whose husband has made a BIG mistake. What is she going to do about it? A novel about a marriage, a secret, and a wife's choice…
Chrissie Manby is the author of twenty five romantic comedies including several Sunday Times bestsellers. Contrary to the popular conception of chick-lit writers, she is such a bad home-baker that her own father threatened to put her last creation on www.cakewrecks.com. She is, however, partial to white wine and shoes she can't walk in. Chrissie’s latest book, Three Days in Florence, is a heartwarming and hilarious summer read about what happens when a mini-break under the Tuscan sun becomes make-or-break for one woman.
Beth O’Leary is one of this year’s most talked about debut authors and has been blowing readers away with her bestselling novel The Flatshare. Tiffy Moore needs a cheap flat, and fast. Leon Twomey works nights and needs cash. Their friends think they’re crazy, but it’s the perfect solution: Leon occupies the one-bed flat while Tiffy's at work in the day, and she has the run of the place the rest of the time. But with obsessive ex-boyfriends, demanding clients at work, wrongly imprisoned brothers and, of course, the fact that they still haven't met yet, they're about to discover that if you want the perfect home you need to throw the rulebook out the window...
We are delighted to announce that this fantastic evening will be chaired by journalist and Books Editor of Prima Magazine, Nina Pottell, as she interviews each author followed by a Q&A with the audience. We are also teaming up with our friends at Sanctuary Spa for the evening who are providing a pampering body care product for everyone attending.
