This event has been organised in collaboration with Watergate Bay Hotel, The Headland Hotel and Zero Carbon Company. We all wanted to create an event where these great companies could share their wealth of knowledge, with each hotel having a dedicated person for all sustainability matters - from planet to people. We were all keen to bring this support and knowledge to all hospitality businesses.
Roots - Planet will focus on sustainable practices in hospitality and provide information on various practices and procedures that can be undertaken by a hospitality business to support not only the planet but the bottom line. We will be hosting a second event to focus on sustainable practices to support your teams - Roots - People.
There will be roundtable talks with businesses championing sustainability and suppliers who are going the extra mile to be sustainable; supplier stands to visit and network with; and various workshops to support your sustainability journey - no matter where you are on this journey, experts in the industry will be able to mentor you and your businesses. This is the reason we created CHC - to share knowledge and do good things in the community.
At this event you will:
- Hear from local hospitality businesses about ESG Strategy, frameworks and quick wins for sustainable procurement
- Hear from local suppliers about their sustainability credentials & products as well as how partnerships/collaborations support ESG objectives
- Join workshops focused on food and beverage, tools & toolkits, big savings and the importance of branding
- Make life long links with peers in the industry
