Event description
Do you pass rough sleepers on your way to work and wish you knew how to help?

About this Event

Westminster has by far the highest number of rough sleepers in the country. With temperatures dropping, and rough sleeping figures hitting a record high, there has never been a more critical time to address street homelessness.

As part of our dedicated programme of work on this important issue, Heart of London will be hosting a workshop in collaboration with our Homelessness Outreach partners at The Connection at St Martin-in-the-Fields.

Through The Connection at St Martin-in-the-Field, we fund dedicated outreach workers to help rough sleepers off the streets and into the appropriate care services. This is one way we’re helping to tackle homelessness in Westminster, but there are plenty of other ways the business community can get involved.

The practical session will explore how you and your organisation can contribute to reducing homelessness on our streets, from reporting concerns and engaging with rough sleepers, to volunteering, lobbying and fundraising.

We hope you can join us at Smeg’s flagship store in their basement amphitheatre - tea & treats will be available.
