Roundtable: Shaping Minimum Standards for Falls Technology
Join this workshop to explore realistic minimum standards for falls technologies used in social care.
Care City is working with the London Borough of Redbridge to support the Digitising Social Care programme in setting national minimum standards for non-invasive, sensor-based, falls prevention and detection technology.
Standards we're interested in include (amongst others):
- User experience standards
- Data protection standards
- A.I. standards
- Cybersecurity standards
- Interoperabilty and communication standards
- Information standards
In this event, we want to share what we’ve heard so far on this topic from technology suppliers, commissioners and care providers. Bringing different perspectives around the table, we’ll explore the implications of what we’re hearing for what “minimum standards” should look like:
- What is truly minimum, rather than recommended or “best practice”
- What is realistic and proportionate
- What builds confidence for commissioners and digital teams, and care providers in deploying technologies into social care
- Where is further work needed to ensure standards stay up to date with emerging technologies
Who should attend?
- Local authority commissioners
- Digital and IT leads
- Adult social care transformation teams
- Suppliers of non-invasive, sensor-based falls prevention and detection technologies
- Other people interested in sensor-based falls technologies
