Join us in the beautiful surroundings of Fletcher Moss Park for a day of learning, immersing in nature and family craft activities hosted by RSPB, Friends of Fletcher Moss Park and The Emily Williamson Statue Campaign.The RSPB is passionate about nature and dedicated to saving it. Since we started our mission in 1889 in Manchester, the threats to nature have continued to grow, but we've grown to meet them too. We’re now the largest nature conservation charity in the country.Come along on a journey back to our roots: a group of indefatigable women campaigning to end the killing of birds for their feathers. Rare bird species were driven to extinction so their plumage could ostentatiously decorate hats and accessories. Learn how these women fought to stop birds dying for fashion, all from their base in Fletcher Moss Park, and how this inspires us to keep fighting climate breakdown, destruction and extinctions today.
