You are invited to a Young Adults' retreat at Worth Abbey this Summer!

This retreat will be led by the Lay Community of St Benedict, and we will be joined by the monks of Worth Abbey.The retreat will be a chance to live out the Benedictine charism of prayer, work and community, along with other young adults, as part of a lay monastic experience!We'll be reflecting on the theme of "Running with the light of life" - a phrase found both in the Gospel of St John and The Rule of St Benedict. How do we encounter the light of true joy in our lives, and how can we not only embrace it, but run with it?Activities will include times of prayer, reflection on the theme and a chance to offer holy service to the monks through work on the Abbey grounds. There will also be plenty of time socialise and get to know each other too!We'll be staying at St Bruno's in Worth Abbey, a beautiful monastery situated near Crawley in West Sussex. The retreat will be held from Tuesday 20th - Friday 23rd August, with the possibility of joining with our wider community Summer Gathering at the following weekend: 23rd-26th August.This is a Young Adults retreat, and so the age range is 18-35.Cost:£120 for the retreatEarly bird rate (if you book before 1st June): £105(Deposit: £10 - payable when you make the booking)If needed, you can apply for a subsidy. IF BOOKING FOR THE LCSB SUMMER GATHERING, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING SECTION:You will need to book for the Summer Gathering separately even if you are attending our retreat. For this, please go to the Summer Gathering booking form (this will be available soon).Subsidies will be available for this as well.
