A RareChat is an opportunity to chat informally with other patient group leaders and advocates in the rare disease community on a range of topics. In this RareChat, we will facilitate a conversation among patient group leaders and advocates—both those experienced running and participating in peer support programmes. They will share their experiences, challenges, impact and advice for driving a peer programme’s success: both as an organiser and a participant. Rare disease patient groups often operate with limited resources and small teams, making peer support a crucial, low-cost solution for building connections, learning from others, and overall community support. However, organising and managing these programmes comes with its own set of challenges, like funding, personal boundaries and fidelity to the programmes.Come along to share your opinions and hear from your fellow patient group leaders. Spaces are limited, so please sign up now!

Please note, this is not a traditional training event with designated speakers.
