Kids in Museums

With COVID-19 uncertainty continuing to affect how we work with young people, how can museums bring their work-based programmes online?

In this virtual training session, we will explore a range of approaches to developing virtual work-based programmes for young people, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). <h3>You will:</h3><ul><li>gain practical ideas from museums running virtual activity, including insight days, taster events and work experience placements</li><li>hear case studies from National Museums Liverpool, Leeds Museums and Galleries and the Museum of London</li><li>learn how to make your work-based programmes more inclusive</li><li>think about organisational change that could be made to embed work-based provision in your museum.</li></ul><a href="https://kidsinmuseums.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Schedule-virtual-work-based-programmes-for-young-people-training.pdf" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Take a look at the full schedule.</a>This training event will be delivered virtually over two hours and 15 minutes (with a short break).Who should attend?This training is aimed at staff who work in museums, art galleries and heritage sites who are interested in developing digital work-based learning provision for young people.£25 Standard ticket price£15 for freelancers - please note there is a limited number of freelancer tickets which are available on a first come first served basis
