Understand how hormones and getting older can impact running and sports performance, more common injuries at this key stage and how best to help yourself.
This session will cover
- What hormonal changes are happening and how this impacts your bones, muscles, tendons, balance and running performance
- What are the common running related pain and injuries during perimenopause
- How to overcome these common aches and pains
- The essential strengthening exercises for perimenopausal runners. These will be demonstrated live, and you can join in for some of these if you wish.
- The pelvic floor - how running and menopause affect it, why it matters for runners and what you can do to help
- 5 quick wins to manage fatigue, flushes and flexibility
- E booklet with key exercises and information included
