Are you ready to experience the power of RUSH?

Set against an icon of Blackpool’s skyline RUSH is an extraordinary outdoor dance spectacular telling the stories that matter to Blackpool and Wyre residents in a huge release of energy and creativity.

A community cast of 100 residents will perform with a world-class professional dance company alongside the professional dancers and production team in RUSH. This production is a one-off experience of dance, light, projections and film, exploring both local and global issues to an urban soundtrack.

RUSH develops into a celebration, after you’ve experienced RUSH in Blackpool you will leave with a sense of exhilaration knowing that the power to change things lies within our communities - Blackpool always keeping the lights on.

Set on the site of the former police station on Bonny Street, see this Blackpool landmark in a whole new light. The police tower will be transformed and dancers will take over the space in an explosion of movement and music.

Presented as part of the Lightpool Festival, RUSH has been created by Southpaw Dance Company, commissioned by LeftCoast and co-produced with Event International.

In order to fund this extraordinary FREE show we need to collect our audience data so we can show our funders who comes to see shows like this and what they thought of them. We want to bring more great shows to Blackpool and Wyre so we need to ask you some questions, it should only take a minute and then you can access your free tickets. We will send you a short online survey after the show to find out what you thought. We would be very grateful if you can complete this so we can tell our funders that they should continue to support us. • This is a standing only show and will last for 45 minutes, if you have additional access needs please contact the organisers before booking a ticket - helen.clay@leftcoast.org.uk
• There are a limited number of wheelchair spaces available - with up to two additional carers / companions to be stood in the accessible area. Please book general admission tickets for carers/companions and other members of your party. Please contact helen.clay@leftcoast.org.uk if you have access needs but do not use a wheelchair.
