What is Embodied Movement/ Ecstatic Dance?

Embodied Movement or Ecstatic Dance is a free-form practice. It's not about how you look, how well you can dance, or even if you think you can dance. It's about how you feel. Think of it as a moving meditation, a playful exploration, and a powerful release – all rolled into one vibrant experience.

Who is this event for?

It's for you! We believe in radical inclusivity: every unique body, every age, every size, every gender, and every fitness level. If you can move, you can move intuitively to music. I began my journey weighing over 135 kgs, and if I can embrace this, so can you.

Do I need dance experience?

No! Imagine a space where you can truly, deeply, wonderfully be yourself. No steps to learn, no judgment, no expectations. Just you, the music, and the incredible wisdom of your own body.

Yoga mat or bolster to sit on for journaling. Journal or notebook and pen. Water. Comfortable clothes with layers, there is an opportunity to be outside, weather permitting.

Cacao is pure, unprocessed "Food of the Gods" – our ceremonial-grade bean. It's a true gift! It gently opens the heart, offering blissful mood elevation and calm focus. Packed with antioxidants and vital nutrients, it's a profound plant ally for inner connection and well-being.

Who shouldn't take cacao?

Please avoid or take a small dose if: you have severe heart conditions/high BP, are on SSRI antidepressants (interaction risk!), are pregnant/breastfeeding, or have severe anxiety. Please inform me privately for your safety!

How is the Cacao normally prepared?

The ceremonial-grade cacao is usually blended with coconut milk, turmeric and syrup. Occasionally, mint tea and a little syrup. The caco will always be prepared vegan and gluten-free. But most importantly, with a lot of love and the intention of the ceremony.

What is energetic work?

Energetic work works with your body's subtle energy fields to clear blockages, rebalance imbalances, and restore your natural healing capabilities. This gentle approach can alleviate stress, reduce pain and foster a sense of peace and well-being. It helps you reconnect with yourself.

What if I would rather not be part of the energetic work?

Energetic work requires permission. If you would rather I didn't work with your energy directly. Pop me an email or quietly let me know at the start of the event.

Will we be drinking? To help "loosen me up"?

This is an alcohol and drug-free experience. Your body, the cacao and the music are all you need to fully let go and enjoy your experience.

We have a no-refund policy. However, if you are unable to attend at the last minute, you are welcome to nominate someone to come in your place.
