This single day course is designed for those people who have young people in their lives, either as a parent, teacher, or youth worker.

This session is for people working or wishing to work in any capacity with Children and young people and describes what to be aware of and how to help a child effected my abuse.

  • Laws and guidance relating to safeguarding children
  • Main forms, signs and effects of abuse
  • Issues and barriers; including grooming & stereotyping
  • What individuals need to do about handling disclosures and reporting concerns


Eligibility rules apply:

  • Aged 19+ & Wirral Resident
