Safeguarding & Vulnerabilities Conference
Join us at the Safeguarding & Vulnerabilities Conference to learn, share, and connect with experts in the field.
Lecture Theatre 2, Ground Floor Education Centre!
Our upcoming Safeguarding and Vulnerabilities Conference brings together colleagues from across the Trust alongside valued partners from external agencies and charities, united by a shared commitment to protecting and empowering the most vulnerable in our communities. This event offers a vital space to share learning, strengthen collaboration, and celebrate the collective expertise that underpins high‑quality, compassionate safeguarding practice. Together, we continue to build safer pathways, stronger networks, and more responsive support for those who need it most.
One courageous FGM survivor is sharing her lived experience to show how care and safeguarding can be delivered with greater compassion, cultural understanding, and sensitivity—offering professionals vital insight into how support can be given differently. Lads Like Us bring powerful lived‑experience expertise, helping professionals understand how trauma shapes behaviour and how empathetic, trauma‑informed practice can transform lives. Andy’s Man Club provides a vital, stigma‑free space for men to talk openly about mental health, offering free peer‑support groups nationwide that encourage honest conversation and connection. The Ann Craft Trust contributes deep expertise in safeguarding adults, supporting organisations with training, research, and guidance to create safer cultures and prevent abuse. The Nottinghamshire Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner will also be sharing key insight into tackling violence against women and girls, reflecting their wider role in community safety, victim support, and shaping effective policing across the county
