How do you react when a client brings up suicidal thoughts and feelings? Do you feel comfortable asking clients if they are experiencing thoughts of suicide? Do you have a private practice policy around suicide?This 90 minute webinar will ask you to consider your own thoughts, feelings and beliefs about suicide and how these might impact your client work.Although suicide is discussed in training it is still unnerving when it comes up in a session with a client. Having a policy statement in place will ensure that you are clear about when you will intervene with a referral to other services, and when you will trust your client to manage their thoughts of suicide safely*.

Emma will walk you through a suggested template for developing your own private practice policy statement around suicide.
