Safer Recruitment Training

This training has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Education Safeguarding Officer, Jatinder Matharu, aimed at any School Workforce Leads, DSL's, Heads, SLT, School Administrators who may be involved in the recruitment process.

When registering please remember to pay offline by selecting "pay by invoice" using the drop down next to payment method .  Please DO NOT use the eventbrite invoice as you will be invoiced separately by Slough Borough Council after the event.  The cost for this session includes a 2% booking fee.

This training is designed to promote safe working practices in recruitment and selection in education settings, to help provide tools and strategies to check suitability, attitude and motivation to work with children for those in positions of trust roles.

Learning Outcome

Delegates will have increased awareness and understanding of offending behaviour which will help to:

• Identify the key features of staff recruitment that help deter or prevent the appointment of unsuitable people

• Consider policies and practice that minimise opportunities for abuse or ensure its prompt reporting

• Help participants begin to review their policies and practice in recruitment with a view to creating a safer culture

This training is delivered by accredited trainers from the Safer Recruitment Training Consortium.
