Saining Stick Workshop
Craft your own smoke cleansing stick in a relaxed, practical session
A relaxed, creative morning to make something meaningful with your hands
What this is
Saining is a traditional practice of using smoke from herbs to clear and reset the energy in a space.
It’s not about doing it “perfectly” or following strict rules- It’s about intention.
In this workshop, you’ll create your own saining stick using a selection of herbs- choosing what feels right for you and what you want to bring more of into your life.
What we’ll be using (and why)
You’ll have a range of fresh herbs to choose from, each with its own qualities:
For grounding and clearing• Rosemary - protection, clarity, grounding• Sage (garden sage) - cleansing, resetting• Thyme - courage, strength, clearing stagnant energy
For softness and balance• Lavender - calming, soothing for the nervous system• Mint - freshness, uplift• Lemon balm - lightness, emotional ease• Mugwort - intuition, dreamwork (if available!)• Bay leaves - focus, intention setting
You’ll be guided to build a bundle that reflects what you need- whether that’s calm, clarity, confidence, or a moment to pause.
What we’ll do
This is a relaxed, no-pressure morning.
• A simple introduction to saining - what it is and how to use your bundle• Guidance on choosing and layering your herbs• Time to create your own saining stick• Tips on how to dry and use it at home
The vibe
Relaxed, creative, and grounded.
• Herbal tea to sip while you create• Easy conversation with other women• Space to chat, connect, or just get stuck into making
What you’ll leave with
• Your handmade saining stick• The knowledge of how to use it• A couple of hours where you weren’t rushing, scrolling, or overthinking
