Sam Gillespie is a folk singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in the Borders, whose music has been shaped by the experience of growing up in the fells and valleys of Northumberland. He is also one half of renowned sibling duo The Brothers Gillespie. His songs arise from the longing to see with the eye of the heart and recover imagination and soul in a world that is singing to us as we sing to it. He finds deep inspiration in the encounter with the wild living land and the way this can open pathways to healing and reconnection, especially in the context of long walks with nights spent under the stars. At the heart of his sound are his poetic songwriting, fluid fingerstyle guitar and soaring voice.
