Dance Reading, Applause Touring, Rural Touring Dance Initiative and Reading Libraries presents<h2>Same Same… But Different </h2><h2>By Sonia Sabri Company </h2>Friday 12th November 4pm (Library open from 3.30pm)50 minutes / Battle Library / show aimed at 5+ / Tickets FREEJoin us at Battle Library after school on 12th November for this fantastically fun family show by award winning Sonia Sabri company.Same Same…But Different’ mixes Kathak, Hip Hop dance, contemporary dance, live music and physical storytelling, to create a playful and colourful world, exploring our curiosities and fears, the times we feel different and when we belong.Inspired by the well-known Anglo-Asian phrase ‘same, same…but different’, meaning &quot;Yes, something kind of similar, but not the exact same thing”, the 3 dancer-musicians conjure a magical atmosphere celebrating individuality, diversity and the bonds which connect us all.The show lasts 50 minutes and is suitable for all ages.“Incredibly enjoyable to watch with brilliant dancers, setting and choreography […] It is something I would like to see again.” “One of the most amazing performances I have ever seen.”The show will have a reduced capacity to enable spaces between seats and we ask that audiences respect Covid guidelines and only attend if they are feeling well.
