Dear members of the Sanctuary and Culture Network

We’re looking forward to our Sanctuary and Culture Network Meeting next week.

Thank you so much to The Glasshouse for hosting.

When: Wednesday 5 November, 10.30am - 12pm

Where: The Glasshouse, St Mary's Square, Gateshead NE8 2JR

We’ll meet in the Barbour Room.

You can enter from the St Mary’s Square entrance or from the cafe. Once inside, you can take the stairs or a lift from the Concourse up to Level 2 to the Barbour Room.

Meeting open agenda

The meeting is an opportunity to open up the conversation and talk about collective and purposeful anti-racist action. The network will move forward with an open agenda format, so the space is one for all of us to share in a mutually-supportive environment.

We’re giving the online platform Mentimetre a go to bring together ideas of what we want to talk about at the next meeting. Here is a link: https://www.menti.com/alacwonj11jh (you can add a response without an account).

More about the network

This Sanctuary & Culture Network is committed to making arts and culture in the North East welcoming and inclusive to people and families seeking sanctuary.

We are artists, community groups, organisations, institutions and individuals, who believe culture has the power to connect us, and that everyone should have access to creative spaces where they feel seen, safe and heard.

The network is not formally constituted but aims to provide a mutually-supportive space to come together to take collective action. Everyone is welcome.

As ever, feel free to share or personally invite people or organisations to our network meeting.

Look forward to seeing you!
