    Welcome to Saturday Rising Yoga Flow!

    Join us from the comfort of your own home for a rejuvenating online yoga session every Saturday morning.

    You are invited to start your weekend off by working to bring a balance of lightness and stillness to the mind, body and spirit.

    Let go of any stress from the week and set a positive tone for the days ahead.

    All levels are welcome as classes are accessible for all. The guided flow offers different options for all bodies to express themselves comfortably and enjoy their journey.

    Sessions are held on zoom. Please note, we cannot admit people to join after the first 5 minutes.

    You will need; yourself, your mat and your space.

    Frequently asked questions

    Are online classes suitable for beginners?

    Yes, these classes are suitable for everyone. You don’t need to be able to touch your toes to join our online yoga community. This practise is about the journey not the final destination. We move in and out of shapes mindfully, listening to our bodies while exploring the various options shared.

    Will I need any special equipment for this class?

    It's good to have these things but they are not essential; a yoga mat, a blanket, a small cushion or 2 and an extra layer of clothing/shawl/socks for the final relaxation. If you do have a bolster or yoga block let me know and I can offer suggestions as to how they can be used in your practise.

    What are the benefits to practising yoga?

    A regular yoga practise can; increase energy levels and help to calm the mind, reduce bodily tension, improve strength, mobility and balance, allow the body to reset through relaxation and improve sleep and overall mood.

    Is it safe to practise if I've never done it before?

    If you are recovering from illness/injury, are pregnant/have just had a baby check with your Dr before starting any new physical activity. For your safety please make me aware of anything that might affect your practise. Remember to listen to your body.

    Do I have to have my camera on?

    The advantage of this livestream class is that we can be in the practise together, if I can see you I can give very specific guidance and support for your safety and development in the practise. If you would like to keep your camera off please let me know before the class begins.

    How can I connect with you if I have a question?

    I am available on Zoom before and after the class, you are welcome to ask questions in the chat. During the practise you may unmute briefly to communicate directly with me if it becomes necessary. You can also Dm me on instagram @akomaheartuk outside of class time.

    What can I do for my best experience?

    Turn your camera on & position it well to receive individual cues/guidance. Join the meeting early-you can speak with me if you need to, enjoy a chat with your fellow yogis or take some time for your centring. Create a dedicated space for practise with special things eg scent/flowers.
