We are an outdoor education charity with 60 acres of ponds, field, meadows, streams and ancient woodland.We aim to involve the local community, especially young people, in the enjoyment and care of the environment.By working in partnership with the Sayers Croft field centre, the Trust aims to make all the facilities of Sayers Croft available to local children and adults, and especially to those who may otherwise be unable to access them due to physical, financial or social disadvantage.The Trust exists to serve and support the local community and takes an active role in education and conservation. By providing fun, adventurous and challenging activities for young people we hope to create good relationships, increase self esteem, and foster a sense of responsibility and community spirit. A fun morning or afternoon of activities for children with special educational needs and disabilities, their siblings and parents/guardians. Children will need to be accompanied by an adult. The sessions will run from 09:30-12:30 and 13:15-16:15 on the weekend of the 1st and 2nd of March. Sessions are tailored to suit a range of needs. Participants will be able to choose from a wide range of activities ranging from adventure (bouldering, archery, ropes courses) to craft (clay models, hazel frames) and exploration activities (shelter building, pond dipping, orienteering) and so much more.We have a number of adaptations we can make to sessions to make them accessible to those with physical disabilities. Please do contact us before booking if you are unsure.You will be able to request activities when booking and we will do our best to accomodate them but please note it may not always be possible.All ages from 0-18 are welcome, though most activities will be aimed at 6-14 year olds. Participants must have a parent or guardian accompanying them. Siblings are welcome and encouraged to join as participants. Groups will be around 10 children.We welcome the participation of all SEND children, and provide a high ratio of staff to participants. However, Sayers Croft staff will not be able to help with needs relating to personal care, such as feeding or toileting. The day will be as flexible as possible to try and cater for all needs and interests. It is useful for us to have as much information as possible beforehand in order to plan successfully.Kit List:<ul><li>Drink</li><li>Snack (you are welcome to stay after the session/arrive early to have a packed lunch)</li><li>Trainers</li><li>Wellies (we have some spares to lend out)</li><li>Clothes you dont mind getting wet/muddy (and a change of clothes just in case)</li><li>Waterproofs</li><li>Any necessary medication (and make sure Sayers Croft staff are aware of it)</li><li>Suncream/ hat if necessary</li></ul>For any questions of enquiries, please email trust@sayers-croft.org.uk or call 01483275541 to find out more.By booking you agree to your child taking part in activities run by the Sayers Croft Trust, under the supervision of properly trained staff. Should the need arise, Sayers Croft staff will administer first aid and seek medical advice or emergency treatment for your child.We are able to provide these days for free thanks to a Community Inclusion Grant from Surrey County Council.
