SBRI Healthcare Briefing event for 2019/20 funding - Manchester

The Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI) Healthcare, in collaboration with the AHSNs Network, is pleased to announce the launch of a new Competition on 24th June. Applicants are invited to tender for projects to develop technology enabled solutions addressing the following challenges:•	Cardiovascular Disease (CVD), including the following sub-categories:o	Detection and Preventiono	Intervention and Invasive Investigationso	Efficiency of CVD pathway•	Integrated Care and Social Care, including the following categories:o	Improve effective data sharing system across the care networko	Reduce social care workforce pressureFurther details are outlined in the competition brief available on the<a href="https://sbrihealthcare.co.uk/competitions/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> SBRI Healthcare website.</a><a href="https://drive.google.com/open?id=1FrOrQkef5PE4Wqzqem6FjaEFaGXme22N" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">AGENDA CAN BE FOUND HERE</a>Join one of the SBRI Healthcare briefing events to learn more about the competition in: •	London, Bloomsbury Ambassadors Hotel, 1 July 2019, 15:00-17:00 •	Manchester, CityLabs 1.0, 10 July 2019, 10.30-12.30This page will allow potential applicants to register their attendance to the Manchester briefing event (please go to the <a href="https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/sbri-briefing-event-tickets-63196257708" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">related page</a> to register to the London event).The events will provide an opportunity to know more about the Competition, hear about the healthcare challenges from clinical experts in the sector, find out how the AHSNs can provide support and ask questions. The day will feature presentations by:•	The SBRI Healthcare team;•	The AHSNs;•	Clinical experts in Cardiovascular Disease and Integrated Care &amp; Social Care.In addition, there will be the opportunity for networking and establishing new connections.The event is free of charge, but there is limited availability of places. Networking refreshments will be served at the end.The final agenda will be shared with the attendees closer to the meeting. About SBRI Healthcare: The Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI) Healthcare is an NHS England funded initiative which aims to help develop solutions that address unmet health needs in order to improve patients’ lives and support NHS efficiency. Each year SBRI Healthcare provides funding to innovative new products and services with the potential to improve patient outcomes and delivery of health services within specific health challenges.Competitions are open to single companies or organisations from the private, public and third sectors, including charities.The SBRI scheme is particularly suited to small and medium-sized businesses, as the contracts are of relatively small value and operate on short timescales for Government departments. In addition, it is an opportunity for new companies to engage a public sector customer pre-procurement.
