Scent Showcase

Scent is a research project funded under the EU's Horizon 2020 programm. Scent is developing cutting-edge tools and applications (known as the Scent Toolbox), designed to help observe and analyse changes in the environment, and help prevent flooding.Scent has developed fun new gaming apps, Scent Explore and Scent Measure, for engaging citizens in environmental monitoring. With the help of citizen scientist volunteers, these apps are being tested in large-scale pilots in the Danube Delta, Romania, and Athens, Greece.The data collected by volunteers using the Scent apps helps scientists and policymakers understand how changes in land-cover and land-use can impact flooding in the region, and is used to create more accurate flood maps.To learn more about the Scent project, click here:scent-project.euTo download the Scent applications, click here:scent-project.eu/scent-toolbox

Scent Project

Don't miss your chance to become a Scent Citizen Scientist and join us at the Scent Showcase in Athens, Greece on 20-21 June 2019. 
Take part in interactive exhibitions, workshops and field demonstrations and be among the first to experience the innovative new applications of the Scent Toolbox. 
On display will be state-of-the-art gaming applications, and data management and analysis tools for environmental monitoring, and flood management and prevention.

AGENDA
DAY ONE: THURSDAY 20 JUNE  09:30 - 17:30
Take part in exhibitions and interactive sessions, where the Scent Toolbox and its applications will be presented and demonstrated. 
DAY TWO: FRIDAY 21 JUNE 08:30 - 12:30 
Join our citizen science field campaign, and test our new Scent Explore and Scent Measure gaming apps in the Kifisos River Basin.
