Schema Training

The Link website is funded by theChildren Learning and Skills Directoratein Slough Borough Council. It is aimed at current and future education professionals in Slough, particularly teachers and early years practitioners.We have a strong and vibrant education system in Slough characterised by good educational outcomes for children and a growing spirit of collegiality andpartnership workingacross schools and between schools and the LA.We hope that the Link will become a powerful tool to strengthen the education system in Slough by supporting the communication of education priorities and facilitating collaboration across schools and settings.  Please visit our website for further information.

This training has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Early Years Advisory Teacher, Sharon Rose, for the attention of practitioners working with children under two years old.

This training session is designed to help practitioners identify schema and plan to support them.  There is a strong focus on noticing a child's repeated play patterns, identifying the specific concepts and learning that a child is engaging with you.  The session is delivered using PowerPoint, film clips and questions to challenge practice.
