Visual communication of research is becoming increasingly relevant. Summarising findings in a clear manner is crucial to pass the message to all relevant audiences, from other researchers to policymakers. This seminar brings together renowned experts from the industry and academia:
- Greg McInerny, University of Warwick
- Craig Mills, Vizzuality
- Cath Sleeman, Nesta
Greg McInerny is an ecological scientist specialised in the niche where science, software and visualisation overlap, and has published on the topic in Nature Methods, among others. Craig Mills is CEO of Vizzuality, the team who develops the interface for the Global Forest Watch, among other exciting online tools for researchers. Cath Sleeman obtained a PhD in Economics at Cambridge and now develops digital interactive visualisations of social and economic data, one of which has been awarded the Bank of England Data visualisation competition.
