Visual communication of research is becoming increasingly relevant. Summarising findings in a clear manner is crucial to pass the message to all relevant audiences, from other researchers to policymakers. This seminar brings together renowned experts from the industry and academia:

<A TARGET="_blank" HREF="http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/cross_fac/cim/people/academic/greg-mcinerny/" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Greg McInerny</A> is an ecological scientist specialised in the niche where science, software and visualisation overlap, and has published on the topic in <A TARGET="_blank" HREF="http://www.nature.com/nmeth/journal/v12/n7/full/nmeth.3451.html" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Nature Methods</A>, among others. <A TARGET="_blank" HREF="http://www.vizzuality.com/about/craig-mills" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Craig Mills</A> is CEO of <A TARGET="_blank" HREF="http://www.vizzuality.com/" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Vizzuality</A>, the team who develops the interface for the <A TARGET="_blank" HREF="http://www.globalforestwatch.org/" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Global Forest Watch</A>, among other exciting online tools for researchers. <A TARGET="_blank" HREF="http://www.nesta.org.uk/users/cath-sleeman" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Cath Sleeman</A> obtained a PhD in Economics at Cambridge and now develops digital interactive visualisations of social and economic data, one of which has been awarded the <A TARGET="_blank" HREF="http://www.bankofengland.co.uk/research/Pages/onebank/dataviscomp.aspx" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Bank of England Data visualisation competition</A>.
