Description

Think you have the EDGE?

Scottish EDGE is a competition designed to identify and support Scotland’s up-and-coming, innovative, high-growth potential entrepreneurial talent. Since its inception in 2012, Scottish EDGE has had a huge impact on Scotland’s economy, with our alumni having generated an additional £45.06m in turnover, secured £44.12m in additional investment, and created 818 jobs.

Scottish EDGE is made up of four categories:
1. Scottish EDGE, for companies of all sectors and stages offering funding of up to £100,000 on a split grant/loan basis
2. Higgs EDGE, an engineering, science or technology based award - with offerings of £150,000 or £100,000 on a 50:50 grant/loan split
3. Young EDGE, for companies where all directors are under the age of 30 offering a grant only award of up to £10,000
4. Wild Card EDGE, for companies who are pre-trading, again offering a grant only award of up to £10,000.

Applications for Round 10 of the bi-annual competition open on 1st February 2017. Think you have the EDGE? Then come along to our workshop to find out what makes a strong Scottish EDGE application, what the judging panel look for when assessing your application and how to deliver a 3-minute video presentation. The workshop is delivered by a member of the Scottish EDGE team and could be the first step in your Scottish EDGE journey to winning £150,000.

This workshop is being hosted in partnership with Enterprise Campus West and is open to all staff and students from the University of Strathclyde, as well as postgraduates from any Scottish University.
