The 2016 SMG Symposium will be held on the 24th of November at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. The one day event will include talks (invited and submitted), poster sessions, a trade fair and tours of the ESRIC facility. The event will showcase some of the fantastic work going on in Scotland in microscopy across a broad spectrum, from X-ray Tomography to Intra-vital imaging. It will be a great chance to catch up with scientists from across Scotland (and the UK) in the microscopy community.
It is a tradition in the SMG to ensure PhD and Post-Doctorates get a chance to show their research through poster sessions and short talks so we encourage you to submit and abstract via the poster session page.
We will be running an Imaging Competition this year, any microscopy image using any technique can be entered. The Wellcome Trust Images will be helping us decide on 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize on the day. Details for this can be found at the SMG Symposia webpage.
You can view the program for the event at the SMG Symposia webpage.
We look forward to seeing you on the 24th of November in Edinburgh!
