Scrapbooking for Wellbeing
A gentle, creative 5-week course to help you relax, connect and create something meaningful to take home.
Join us for a relaxed, welcoming 5-week creative course where you’ll create your own personal scrapbook while enjoying a warm space, a cuppa, and gentle company.
This is a creativity-first wellbeing group — no experience needed, no pressure to share, and no right or wrong way to take part.
Each week, we’ll explore a simple theme linked to wellbeing (such as calm, joy, connection and hope), with a short introduction and plenty of time to create at your own pace.
By the end of the course, you’ll have your own scrapbook to take home — filled with pages you’ve created in a way that feels right for you.
What to expect
- A calm, friendly and inclusive group
- Simple creative activities using paper, colours, words and images
- A different gentle theme each week
- Tea, coffee and a warm space
- The opportunity to connect with others (if you want to)
You can chat, create quietly, or do a bit of both — it’s completely up to you.
What will I be making?
Over the 5 weeks, you’ll create a series of scrapbook pages, including:
- A Calm Page
- A Joy Page
- A Community Page
- A Gratitude Page
- A Hope Page
These come together into your own personal scrapbook to take home.
You’ll also receive theme ideas and prompts you can continue using at home, so you can keep creating and supporting your wellbeing beyond the course.
Do I need to bring anything?
No — everything is provided.
You’re welcome to bring photos or small paper items if you’d like, but many people come along with nothing and still create something meaningful.
Who is this for?
This group is open to everyone.
It’s especially suited to anyone who:
- would enjoy a calm, creative activity
- is looking for gentle connection
- prefers low-pressure, welcoming spaces
You don’t need to be “creative” to take part.
What if I can't make it to every session?
No problem at all - we know that people may not make the odd session and that's ok.
Accessibility & approach
Sessions are designed to be inclusive and welcoming to different ways of engaging, including those who prefer quiet participation.
There is no expectation to speak or share.
Delivered in partnership
This course has been brought to the community through partnership working as part of the Beacon of Hope project led by Lister Steps at The Old Library.
