Screen printing with stencils: Creative mini prints
Overview
Participants will create their own imagery to cut as paper stencils, experimenting with layering shapes and colours across a variety of fabrics and papers.
The session will introduce the basic principles of the printing process and provide an understanding of the equipment needed for screen printing.
Working with mini screens, everyone will leave with a small edition of unique prints to inspire future creative projects.

Artist bio:
Slow Hands, also known as Ria, is a Nottingham based textile artist. Her work combines screen printing and embroidery to produce unique wall hangings and textile art that reflect her appreciation for slow, intentional artistry and the beauty of handcrafted textiles. After many years of working as a print technician, Ria now operates a small studio from home selling handmade textile art and painted pieces.

Sunny Bank Mills is an inspirational cultural destination in the heart of the local community of Farsley, Leeds. Founded in 1829, these glorious Mills are being regenerated by the sixth generation of the family owners, creating a wonderful blend of work, leisure and culture.

As materials and equipment are ordered in advance, we regret that refunds cannot be offered less than 7 days before the workshop date. Please note that Eventbrite’s booking fee is non-refundable.
