Should we make sure certain possible future persons with genetic disorders are not brought into existence through screening the parents before conception or screening embryos before birth?

Speaker:

Dr Mair Crouch has dual qualification with degrees in bioscience and law.

She was a member of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority from 2008- 2013 and of the Scottish Government Advisory Board for “Generation Scotland” 2004- 2010.

Dr Crouch is also an honorary lecturer in bioethics at the University of Glasgow and is the author of the book entitled Medical Genetics and Law: An International Perspective which will be published by Springer in May 2025.
