As part of Unspoken, the UK South Asian Mental Health Film Festival, Tongues on Fire, in partnership with Psychiatry Research Trust, Concern for Mental Health and Centre of Applied Research and Evaluation International Foundation is screening Minimum.

Minimum is a story of a newlywed immigrant finds herself insidiously kept captive by her mother-in-law after marrying a stranger over the phone. She soon discovers that her husband has learning disabilities—a truth kept from her before marriage. She loses hope until a tutor is hired to teach her French. An unlikely friendship is forged, secrets are revealed, and she begins to confront isolation, stigma, and emotional control while learning to demand more than the bare minimum.
