An evening of performance at Deptford Town Hall from  Alia Hamaoui,  Sasha Ercole and Eleanor Arnold.

Deptford Town Hall, Goldsmiths

7:15pm: Alia Hamaoui with Julian TranSheets- A prompt through conditionsThinking through the mechanics of image making and the invisible power dynamics embedded in space, scenic descriptions formatted as auto-cue prompts become an invitation for composers to cumulatively interpret through a live score. Using the space between interpretation as a way to re-assert the political potential of space at the site of multiple trajectories of surface and the product of contained and fractured inter-relations. For this performance, the scenic descriptions will be interpreted by Julian Tran with Clari Freeman-Taylor on cello. 7:45pm: Sasha Ercole with Christian Kingo9 minutes, 21 seconds west from ParisTitled in reference to Universal Coordinated Time (UTC), the work is a choreographed sequence based on the standards and scales of measurement that regulate a 24 hour clock. Performed in the Council Chambers of the Deptford Town Hall, the score is based around solar timekeeping, marking degrees of distance from the Prime Meridian Line at the Royal Observatory of Greenwich. 8:20pm: Eleanor Arnold with Liza Dickson, Joseph Hewlett-Hall and Lily SmithTrackers (1)A script developed from a corrupted crit transcript originally generated using assistive learning technology. The transcript has been edited into three roles: the artist, the peer, and the institutional voice (tutor). The work explores the overlap between feedback as an institutional framework and technological error.The script operates as a diagnostic feedback loop—a medical model in which misreadings and miscalculations accumulate, generating increasing instability and misdiagnosis within a system. Each performance produces a new transcript, which is then used to generate the next script.This is performance one, it is performed by: Lily Smith, Liza Dickson and Joseph Hewlett-Hall. Supported by Goldsmiths Exhibition Hub and tech support by Alfred Lear. Bar run by the Goldsmiths MFA as a degree show fundraiser.
