Catalysing inter-religious inquiry since 2002, Cambridge Interfaith Programme is an academic research centre based in the University of Cambridge's Faculty of Divinity. Outside the University, we share and develop our work in partnership with communities of faith and to the benefit of society, seeking to promote deep and informed conversation within and between the three Abrahamic faiths and with persons of all faiths and none.

Scriptural Reasoning session with Cambridge Interfaith Programme Monday 7th February, 2.00 - 3.30 p.m. Lightfoot Room, Faculty of Divinity To mark World Interfaith Harmony Week, join the Cambridge Interfaith team for an interactive session reading and reflecting together on passages from the Muslim, Jewish and Christian scriptures, a practice otherwise known as Scriptural Reasoning. Our theme for this session will be ‘created human&#x27;. What is Scriptural Reasoning? Scriptural Reasoning is a tool for interfaith dialogue whereby people of different faiths come together to read and reflect on their scriptures. Unlike many forms of interfaith engagement, Scriptural Reasoning is not about seeking agreement but rather exploring the texts and their possible interpretations across faith boundaries. The result is often a deeper understanding of others and one’s own religious texts, as well as the development of strong bonds across faith communities. This workshop is primarily intended for students and colleagues in the Faculty of Divinity to mark World Interfaith Harmony Week. It will include a brief introduction to Scriptural Reasoning, and time in breakout groups guided by an experienced facilitator.For more information on Scriptural Reasoning:http://www.scripturalreasoning.org
