Richard Pope is the author of <a href="https://lpp-books.sumupstore.com/product/platformland-by-richard-pope-preorder" title="https://lpp-books.sumupstore.com/product/platformland-by-richard-pope-preorder" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Platformland - an anatomy of next-generation digital public services</a>. He was part of the founding team at the UK Government Digital Service, created many of the initial design concepts for <a href="http://gov.uk/" title="http://gov.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">GOV.UK</a> and the Universal Credit digital account, and co-authored the original Government Service Standard. In 2018/19 he was a fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School, focused on the subject of Government as a Platform.
