Seaview & Nettlestone

Welcome to Freshwalks. This classic ramble event is part of our own vibrant business community programme and everyone is welcome to join us for a morning of walking and networking in the great outdoors. Feel free to come alone - most Freshwalkers do - and you'll be warmly welcomed or invite a colleague or client along for company.

Route description

This 6km circular walk begins at Nettlestone Point in Seaview, following the coast anti-clockwise with expansive Solent views. The route heads inland past fields and woodland to Fairy Hill, offering gentle climbs and peaceful scenery. It then continues through the village of Nettlestone, passing historic buildings and quiet lanes, before looping back toward the shoreline. A varied and accessible hike, it combines coastal paths, countryside tracks, and village charm before returning to the starting point.

Public toilets: None directly at start but Lily's Cafe is only a few minutes walk away (pass it on way from car park) and should be open from 9am. (15 High St, Seaview PO34 5ES)

Public transport: You can take the 8 bus from Newport or Ryde to Seaview. Hourly service. Full timetable here

Post-walk: The Old Fort for some optional refreshments and/or lunch to continue conversations.
