Come along to the popular restaurant <A HREF="https://www.wringerandmangle.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Wringer and Mangle</A> for a delicious FREE three course meal and drink. 
The meal will highlight the scale of food waste by using ingredients that the average household throws away. This event is only for Hackney residents.

What's the catch?
There is a £10 deposit which will be automatically refunded after the meal. This is to make sure people attend and to reduce food waste on the day. 
You will have to complete a short survey when you enter your details on the booking form. Please be honest - your personal details will not be shared. Before the meal we will ask guests to think of a food waste reduction tip and we will ask for feedback after the event.
On the night we will be sharing people's tips on how to reduce food waste, and we will be giving away food saver freebies.

Starter
Thick carrot, rosemary and almond milk soup with mixed herb sour dough croutons (Vegan)
OR
Mini mixed vegetable and potato frittatas with a hollandaise sauce (Vegetarian)
Main
Slightly spicy vegetable and coriander tagine with golden lemon quinoa (Vegan)
OR
Indian inspired mild chicken curry served with Bombay potatoes 
Dessert
Reinvented rocky road brownie with crème Chantilly and fresh raspberries (Vegetarian)
OR
Autumn berries and fruit crumble with an almond topping (Vegan)

7pm doors open

Please note there are no reserved seats. We cannot guarantee that large groups will be able to sit together unless at least one member of the group arrives early.

Minimum age requirements The event is aimed at 18-35 year olds as this age group generates the most food waste.  The minimum age is 18.
 
Refund policy Refund of the £10 deposit prior to the event will only be issued to those attendees who let us know that they will not be attending by the 24 October (we need to submit meal choices to the chef one week before the event). The £10 deposit will be automatically refunded to attendees after they attend the event. Attendees must stay for the duration of the event.
 
Printing tickets You will need to print your ticket or display an electronic ticket on your phone/tablet.
 
Names on tickets  It is OK if the name on the registration doesn't match the person who attends as long as they live in Hackney and are over 18.
 
Ordering more than one ticket The survey questions and menu choices need to be completed by all attendees. Therefore each attendee will need to book a ticket separately.
 
Free drink  One free bottle of beer, glass of wine or soft drink per attendee. You will be able to buy more drinks at the event.
 
 
Purchasing tickets on the door  Tickets can only be purchased online. There will be no ticket sales on the door.

Hackney Council has received funding for this event as part of Small Change Big Difference. This pilot aims to help Londoners reduce food waste while promoting healthy and sustainable eating and recycling of unavoidable food waste.
