About this event
You are invited to an exclusive launch event of Second Nature
Over the last few years, we've noticed the rise of outdoor collectives built by, and for, under-represented communities in the US and UK, so we began following their journeys, reading their stories, even joining community hikes.
Through speaking to the inspiring, essential founders and members of a range of outdoor collectives by and for Black, Brown, and Latinx communities, this event will shine a light on their stories and the pressing need for representation in nature, while also offering brands and businesses opportunities to support their goals – through culturally-relevant product innovation, a transformational shopper experience, and aiding greater access to nature at a systemic level.
This exclusive launch event is an invite-only affair, where you will not only get to be the first to hear from ourselves and some of the collectives we spoke to, but also hear directly from brands such as AllTrails & Diageo that have already built meaningful cultre-led partnerships, so you can learn from their experiences to help you go forth on yours.
We will also be running an Applied Activation Session led by brand & cultural strategists to help you move from insight to action.
Why come?
Beyond taking some time out to network with your industry peers, you will also:
- Understand the historical and present-day barriers to nature and outdoor spaces for underrepresented communities.
- Learn how under-represented communities are reclaiming their relationship with nature through a diversity of practices and cultural programmes.
- Discover how brands and institutions can co-create stories, products, and experiences in meaningful partnership with these communities.
- Get an exclusive first copy of the report to take back to your business
- Get immersed in the work through an interactive exhibition and activity
- Oh and did we mention the FREE LUNCH?
