About this event

Renowned speaker and author on teaching, learning and school inclusion -Amjad Ali- will be leading these highly engaging termly workshops/ briefings packed with essential evidence-enriched information and low effort, high impact ideas to support the multitude of needs in a classroom. Relevant updates on national information, policy, frameworks and initiatives regarding the field of SEND will be shared to build delegate confidence in providing an accessible education for all their students. Attendees will be supported to reflect on their current practice and will be encouraged to 'Try and Refine' in their own settings, with an overarching aim for long term, measurable impact on learning and achievement.

Target Audience

SENDCOs, Teachers and Leaders in secondary settings

Learning Outcomes

Attendees will gain insight into the latest developments in Secondary SEND and consider the implication of these for their own settings.

The sessions are designed to support participants to:

· Be aware of the national agenda for SEND in secondary settings

· Reflect on strategies to support the needs of all learners within the classroom

· Identify principles that contribute to effective inclusion in schools

Dedicate focused time to reflect on current practice and plan for continuous improvement for impact on pupil outcomes

Amjad Ali

Regarded as one of the most engaging and empowering voices in the fields of inclusive leadership and professional development. With his trademark humour, warmth, and clarity, Amjad translates the complexities of effective inclusion into practical strategies that challenge, inspire, and stick. Having spent over 19 years working in diverse and high-need schools he now serves as a Trust Training and Inclusion Lead, supporting school communities to grow cultures of equity, ambition, and sustained professional learning. Amjad’s delivery is grounded in lived experience. He began his career as a Play Worker and then a Teaching Assistant in youth offender institutions teaching and eventually trained as a SENDCO and a senior leader. This journey has shaped a leadership philosophy rooted in equity, high expectations, and transformational CPD. He has worked with1,000s of educators across the UK and internationally. Amjad’s sessions consistently receive praise for being funny, thought-provoking, energising, and immediately actionable.
